Successful seed treatment is a complex story as it depends on a number of interacting factors. Full compliance with all of them is essential to achieve a high quality seed treatment. It all starts with the seed being treated needing to be clean and of high quality itself.
The seed treatment formulation has to be stable and have basic adhesive properties; the film coating has to complete the adhesiveness in order to ensure even distribution of the seed treatment product on the seeds and to provide good seed flowability. The slurry recipe has to be adapted to the seeds, and the volume needs to be adjusted to achieve good coverage and a homogeneous distribution among the seeds.
Finally, the equipment must be able to be adjusted precisely and has to work reliably. The treatment will be of high quality only if the operator applies exactly the right dose of both seed treatment product and film coating.
Bayer CropScience leads in the development of seed treatment products. The discovery in 1985 of imidacloprid opened up entirely new perspectives in seed treatment product research. Available on the market since 1991, it is now one of Bayer CropScience's most important active substances. With the systemic seed treatment Gaucho®, Bayer initiated a revolution in crop protection. The application of the product directly onto the seed rendered the then current practice of applying insecticidal sprays to young seedlings unnecessary. Today, Poncho®, containing the active ingredient clothianidin, is the star in Bayer CropScience's insecticidal seed treatment portfolio.

The Sarea Saatguttechnik company was founded in 1929 and has grown into an enterprise of international renown thanks to its technological leadership. For more than 70 years Sarea Saatguttechnik has been applying and perfecting different technologies of seed processing, especially pelleting and incrustation, all developed in-house.
More recently, the company has been active in the development and production of repellents for agricultural purposes, which have already been successfully introduced on the European market. Sarea Saatguttechnik's laboratories are doing intensive research into various aspects of seed protection, in order to continue to offer innovative products in the future.
Deeply committed to the environment, man and the economy, Sarea Saatguttechnik stands for high-quality, practice-oriented formulae and applications. Since 2000 Sarea Saatguttechnik has been a part of the Kwizda Group.
DeltAg Formulations has been in the consulting and crop testing business since 1976. We have applied this experience, gained with so many years of field and laboratory exposure, to the formulating of a new chemistry that we feel is superior to many others in today's Ag market relative to "Crop Response".

ALL-VANTAGE® is an advanced seed coating system for superior application of legume inoculants, fungicide treatments, seed coloring, and nutrient packages to promote better stand establishment.
The ALL-VANTAGE® coating system begins with a speciallyformulated polymer, Adhere 108, that acts as a superior binding agent to provide consistent, uniform coverage of the seed. The special binding properties of Adhere 108 reduce dust-off of the coated seed and is completely safe to handle and transport. Coatings are available in the industry standards of 8-10% and 34%. Custom coatings are also available.
NUTRI-START® is a specially designed micronutrient package that
contains essential micronutrients to aid in germination, emergence and
promote early root growth.
AquaBond™ is a revolutionary new seed enhancement that is both plant and
environmentally friendly. AquaBond™ water absorbing polymer holds water that would normally be lost to percolation or evaporation from the soil and then releases
the water back to the seed as needed, allowing the seed to germinate and grow during dry spells until additional moisture is received.
CR Minerals™ Navajo Brand® Pumice is employed in many seed coating applications. Coating plant seeds prior to planting is a common practice in modern agriculture. Seed coating is desired when growers need a precision-sown crop and the non-coated ("raw") seed is too small, too light, or too variable in size or shape to be sown accurately with existing equipment.

Pelleting and encrusting your own seeds with just one machine!
Pelleting and encrusting of seeds with equipment from Holland Seed Coating will increase seed weight and improve sowability.
Our sales-team can tell you more advantages of pelleting and encrusting! It is also possible to add additional substances like fungicides to the seedcoating. We have experience in pelleting and encrusting of different kinds of flower, vegetable and field crop seeds.
Holland Seed Coating Systems (HSS™) is a cooperation of Seed Processing Holland with INCOTEC and LEBA. HSS™ is an unique and complete seedcoating-technology, with just one machine it is possible for seed companies worldwide to encrust and pellet their own seeds.
Intellicoat seed coatings are patented, functional polymer coatings that have the unique ability to change physical properties based on temperature.
These "intelligent" coatings have a built in temperature switch that regulates when the polymer is permeable or impermeable to moisture.
Today, Intellicoat seed coatings are being used in three significant commercial agricultural applications .
INCOTEC®'s Coating and Seed Technology Companies around the world provide products and services for seed coating, pelleting, seed enhancement and analytical services for genetic analysis and quality inspection.
By choosing INCOTEC's seed technologies you can maximize the performance potential of your seed genetics right from the start.
INCOTEC Group contributes significantly to the development of sustainable agriculture worldwide by providing key solutions in the four business areas, vegetables, field crops, ornamentals and analytical services.

Paramount Seeds Inc.
Paramount Seeds can arrange custom production of pellets, coatings and priming from the major U.S. producers, based on a wide experience with these highly technical products.
The PENKOTED® Seed Technology was developed by Pennington in the early 1960's to aid seed in becoming mature plants.
The exclusive Pennington Seed® Penkoted® Seed Technology literally seals each seed with a protective fungicide. This technology protects each seed while in the ground and improves its ability to grow into a healthy plant, resulting in a thick, beautiful lawn. Homeowners have found seed with the Penkoted® Seed Technology to be more reliable and effective than using conventional uncoated seed.
